2. The Laws Underlying All Cosmic Cycling
Bailey explains that cycles arise out of deeper divine laws. Three are central:
a. The Law of Periodicity
- This law governs manifestation and the phases of a cycle — appearance, growth, peak, decline, and disappearance.
- It operates on all levels: solar systems, human life, psychological states, and historical epochs.
b. The Law of Rhythm (Cyclic Law)
- Rhythmic alternation of forces — like tides — is cosmic in scope.
- In evolution, rhythm governs the ebb and flow of consciousness, karmic forces, and the emergence and withdrawal of energies at every scale.
c. Cyclic Dominance of Rays
Bailey often links cycles to the Seven Rays, cosmic streams of energy that manifest in sequences:
- Each ray becomes dominant for a given period or cycle.
- Ray dominance affects the evolution of humanity, nature, nations, and even mineral and biological kingdoms.
