THE GREAT INVOCATION

DIVINE APPROACH

     Let light stream forth into the minds of men.
     Let Light descend on Earth.*

  • “Light” signifies illumination, consciousness, and clarity of vision.

  • It invokes contact with Shamballa, the highest spiritual centre where the Will of God is known.

  • The intention is that humanity may think more clearly, dispel illusion, and see truth more directly.

1. From the point of Light within
   the Mind of God

     Let light stream forth into the minds of men.
     Let Light descend on Earth.*

  • “Love” refers to the Heart of God, expressed through the Spiritual Hierarchy.

  • “The Christ” is not limited to one person but represents the Cosmic Principle of Love embodied by the World Teacher (the Christ/Maitreya) and by the Masters.

  • The “return of Christ” means the reappearance of the Hierarchy in human affairs and the awakening of unconditional love within humanity.

2. From the point of Love within
    the Heart of God

     Let purpose guide the little wills of men –
     The purpose which the Masters know and
     serve.

  • This points again to Shamballa, the planetary centre of divine Will.

  • The “Purpose” is the Plan of Evolution: the unfolding of Light and Love through all kingdoms of nature.

  • It calls for the alignment of human will with the greater Will, as recognised and served by the Masters.

3. From the centre where the Will
    of God is known

     Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
     And may it seal the door where evil dwells.*

  • Humanity itself is recognised as a divine centre, alongside Shamballa and the Hierarchy.

  • Through humanity the Plan must manifest in culture, civilisation, and world institutions.

  • To “seal the door where evil dwells” means to cut off the sources of separatism, hatred, and materialistic domination, so they can no longer control human progress.

4. From the centre which we call
    the race of men

  • The three great divine energies—Light (intelligence), Love (attraction), and Power (will)—are invoked together.

  • Their balanced expression brings about the restoration of the divine Plan: a world where the soul of humanity governs outer life.

5. Let Light and Love and Power 
    restore the Plan on Earth.
